Polly’s Plant Sugar - imperial Rhubarb and Quince Gose 7%
If 2019 was all about polishing the edges we established in our first year, and 2020 was about cementing where we think our pale and hoppy beers should be in terms of quality and technique, then 2021 – our fourth year as an active brewery – is where we start to branch out from our usual comfort zone a little more and brew more styles that help us grow and learn as a team. Plant Sugar treads familiar territory, but amplifies it up to the max for our biggest sour beer to date. The brew plans for this beer simply read “Rhubarb & Quince = LOADS”, and boy did we take that one seriously. These awesome fruits meld together for a wonderful jammy tartness, before mellowing back around with a kick of sea salt to keep things interesting. Roll on 2021!
